Guy's & Gal's: We have a 2005 1200R Sportster with the standard D410 150/80B16 on the rear & D401F 100/90-19 on the front. The Sportster, for this trip, is to be a dedicated side car tractor. What would anyone suggest to use for tires on the thing? Would appreciate any experience or advice. I THINK we would like to use an auto type tire on the rear to help with the wear issue on a looooong tour. Thanksssssssss!! steve & Mary

Check out the Double tires that Dauntless motors sells. I'm going to order some for myself.

The twin tire will leave a bunch of extra space under the Sporty rear fender. Should last longer though. The stock Dunlop is only good for 10K miles on my solo Low-Rider. About 6K with a hack (I don't wear them down to the cord).
