Tire Rotation Arrow

Hello folks-

I am mounting a Dnepr car on a 1998 MotoGuzzi V11EV. I read all the posts about Dnepr wheels being something other than round, so I am using another wheel I had in the stockpile. It is a 17" cast wheel from a 1980-81 Suzuki GS1000. It is marked 2.50X17. I had a Dunlop D404 rear tire size 130/90 mounted on the wheel; unfortunately I failed to tell the shop which way I intended to mount the wheel. The wheel fits the Dnepr best with the sprocket side out, and this puts the tire rotation arrow rotating backwards. Question is: is this a problem for a sidecar tire? I understand the importance of rotation arrows on two wheeled bikes, but seems like different physics may be in play on the sidecar. Appreciate any advice you folks can give me.

Thanks.

Tire rotation direction only refers to the best traction/braking capabilities of the tire tread. It has no bearing on the strength or loading capacity of the tire.

What Lonnie said is correct. Also, I would think that the only time it might be any sort of a problem would be in a rainstorm since the treads are designed to clear water when placed in accordance with the direction of rotation.

It should be fine.

While agreeing with both earlier posts I would ask "Why not take it back and ask the shop to reverse it?"
That way you get 100% of any benefits afforded by the tread design-function.
