Hey, this has minimal sidecar content but I DO have a sidecar on the bike in question. I have posed the following question on another site and received no response.

The left handlebar switch on my older Guzzi has a headlight On-Off switch. The toggle broke off. I bought a used replacement left handlebar switch assembly from (a famous dealer) and it turns out there were some wires missing on the headlight On-Off Switch Block.

The switch block contains some tiny connectors that the wire is soldered to. From there, the connectors go into the switch block, making a 90 degree turn. They appear to be rivited into the switch block, top and bottom.

I think, by carefully drilling one end of the "rivet", the connectors will slide out and could be replaced. I am looking for a source for these connectors.

Can anyone help?

I can send photos.

Thanks,

Thanks, Beemerchef!

I appreciate any information I get. I'll try 'em.

I'm really surprised about the lack of info coming from various forums. I suppose many just throw the old switch out and repalce it with a new one. I am intrigued with the possiblity of resurrecting this one.

Thanks again,

Tom

It is a trademark... how should I say it... ???... we don't fix things... we throw them away and buy New! It is a long philosophical conversation about how we are being and have been programmed... I lived in a rural community in Naples, Florida, six months out of the year and every friday am I could have picked up a fortune in washers/fryers/furnitures left on the sidewalk to be picked up... and on and on...
I better say "whatever" and get some sleep!!!
Be well...

Thanks again,

Tom
