Has anybody tried using the Harley Tri-Glide triple trees on an Electra-Glide w/ TLE? I'm considering this option with the longer fork tubes.

Do the the Steerite or EZ Steer both use spacers to extend the forks to keep the bike level?

Terry

Terry, There are no spacers with the Steerite that I know of, You can add a pvc spacer on top of your fork springs to keep them from compressing as much but it will not extend your forks beyond their normal length of travel as stock forks.

I think the California PowerTrak is the only one that gives you longer fork legs to bring things back to proper ride height.

Hey Terry....I installed the EZsteer triple trees....the kit in my case, does raise front end back to stock height....I`am pleased with the easier steering and you can put bike back to stock if you want to sell it... with factory trees you get to keep....
I also put a C/T on front wheel.....it helps front end track straight.......

Mike - Thanks for the info. A few more questions: How does the EZsteer get the front end back up to stock height? What is the approximate cost of the EZsteer package?

I am assuming C/T = Car Tire. I am looking into at least converting the back to a car tire. Does a car tire in front make a big difference?

Here is a bit about the PowerTrak

http://www.houstontrikesandtrailers.com/index.php?page=sport#features about 1/2 way down the page.

I know this listing is about the GL1500, but CSC says it is also available for the Harleys.

Terry....Ezsteer supplies longer cap screws to retain height...I have a Yami Roadstar 1700cc...cost was $1095 plus shipping...and they have kits in stock....good instructions & not hard to install..........
C/T (car tire) 175x75x16 Comtrac slightly raised rear end about 1/2 inch...but when C/T installed on front...5.00x16 excelsior....it leveled out to original specs:....I like front C/T it helps rig to track steady & like the rear c/t it has at least a 1/4 inch deep tread on it....find that on a road cruiser motorcycle tire??!!!

ride safe out there..........

Thanks guys, I have no plans to do something immediately, because the driving season is here and I do not want to tie my bike.

I too would like to put a C/T on the front of my bike. I have the Champion Escort mounted to my 08 Yamaha Venture, and I run a Humo on the rear. Anyone with an idea of which tire or what tire would work on the Venture?? I have also had the Steerite mod done to my triple tree and wish I had done it a lot sooner!! What a difference POWER STEERING.
