side car wheel

I see in most pictures there is no otbd brng. Does the wheel run on
a spindle. if so what would be the best brng setup.

Almost all sidecars use a spindle type axle supported from one side only. The outboard bearings are enclosed in the wheel behind a grease seal.
If you are building your own rig (or upgrading an older one) it is hard to beat an axle that incorporates Timken tapered roller bearings for loading, side-loading and longevity.
The 562 Velorex in my picture here has been upgraded with a 1" axle and Timken bearings.

thanks for the spindle info, time to dig the brng. manual out.
see if timkin will work with the honda front wheel I picked up
