Have '95 Wing rig. Was pondering finally doing this using a Sony CD/MP3 player as they have several models with car kits available[cassette player adapter and 12 volt power cord with unit]. Was going to make Velcro mounting setup on console just behind ignition lock. Have a lot of CDs so did not want to go with just an MP3 player and I don't know anything about them anyway. Also, enjoy a wide range of music[mostly 50's, 60's stuff]so where's the BEST place from which to record specific songs I like onto CDs? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Sony has a couple of models that use Atrac compression that allows about 7 hours of music on a single cd.They come with burning software and are simple to install and operate. Hardest part is selecting the 7 hours of tunes. They also work with standard Mp3 but then you ONLY get about 200 songs. If you already have the music (vinyl,8-track,whatever)you can get it into your computer and convert to a usable format or you can try one of the download services available from Realplayer,Musicmatch Jukebox or several others. Some of the services are $.79 a download but you have to pay some sort of subscription fee while others are $.99 or $10. for an entire album.Yeah, you can use Kazaar or someother P2P network but that really amounts to theft and is a good breeding ground for the occasional virus.
Hope that helps.
