I am wanting to remove my tub from the frame on my 2006 Champion Escort, for repainting the frame. Looking for any advice, I am guessing I will have to pull the carpet?

Thanks in advance

1) take notes regarding the number of washers at each fastener location

2) plug all the open holes in the frame

3) add a grease fitting to the swingarm pivot (the bolt cannot be removed when the body is mounted)

Ken

if your sidecar has a brake system, can you post a picture of it (mine is a 1991 with a Brembo caliper)

Concerning the pivot bolt on the Escort swingarm, that is correct. I don't why they installed it that way. I had to unbolt the tub and raised it a few inches to remove the swingarm bolt. When I replaced the bolt I inserted it the opposite direction so it can now be removed without disturbing the body. I have photos of it removed if wanted.
