Has anybody changed there rear shock oil on stock OEM shocks?, I would like to make them stiffer with out having to spend 4 to 5 hundred bucks, seems to me that one should be able to drill a hole, drain the oil and put a heaver weight in.

Don't know about the Shadow. Gold Wing has ATF in right side that is replaceable. Of course, it is a air shock so it can be stiffened up that way. The left shock is a spring and oil dampened and I have replaced it with a Progressive unit and works really well.
