The spacers actually put a bit more preload on te fork springs reducing front end dive a bit.

L.

Correct me if I am wrong, but backwhen.... we took one inch slices of 3/4 inch ABS water pipe and put them in the tubes as a means of lowering a bike after having installed shorter shocks, this did lower seat height also.

I've got a 03 ElectraGlide with the TriGlide triple trees and the fork tubes extended 2" with spaces I bought.
The bike and hack steer like I had power steering.
I have sketches and part numbers if your interested in going this way.

Hey OldRider,
I just did some checking around and got together a list of TriGlide parts needed. I'd be very interested in your info to see if I'm missing anything. Also, where did you get the spacer? Does it affect the strength of the front end? Can you please email me at tmuilenberg@sbcglobal.net with sketches and part numbers?
Thanks,
Terry

Howdy Robber,

I read this thread last week so went to my local dealer to see what it would cost to put HD trike trees on my '05 Ultra Classic TLE outfit.

Upper and lower trees + all bearings etc for a 2010 trike will run $553. Not bad considering the cost of the other options. i am currently haveing a leading link built fo my other outfit (Yamaha XS650D/Velorex) and it will run $2,500. As I recall, the EXSteer and Steer rite run around a $1,000. I think I will go with the HD Trike parts.

That's great info. I just got back from a 1794 mile trip from Houston to Natchez, MS and up Natchez Trace Parkway to Nashville and back to Houston. I imagine having the modified front end would have helped.
