Ok some where someone showed what parts were needed to rake the trees on a touring bike with a sidecar. If I remember right it was done with trike parts? I don’t remember have done the search and haven’t come up with anything. Any information would be greatly appreciated, and yes I do know that Champion and Liberty make raked trees. But heck I own a Harley and people in china need to make this parts to feed their family………..lol………sorry couldn’t help it.

Despite reports to the contraty, many of the parts for Harley-Davidson are still made in the U.S. If you want an all Japanese or all foreign bke, you need to buy some other brand.

That said, you can buy the HD trike triple trees from an HD dealer but you will also need the associated parts. I think that you will need the longer fork tubes that go with the trike to maintain your ground clearance. I understand that the trike uses 2" extended tubes to counter the lowering effect when changing trail with the trees.

The usual cautions about riding solo later on once trail is diminished apply. There is no free lunch when modifying motorcycles.

I don't know, most of the accessories have a made in Taiwan sticker on them. Riding gear is from Korea or the middle east.
I know a retired union fireman who claimed he wouldn't buy anything that wasn't All American made yet he drove a Ford Ranger pickup with a Mazda engine and Israeli tires and used his asian TV and Stereo a lot.
We live in a global society these days and we aren't the industrialized nation we used to be. The EPA has seen to that.

All quality leathers come from over seas because the EPA won't allow the nessessary chemicals to make a perment dyed leather, ever get a pair of black gloves wet?, when you take them off it looks like you have a black fungus on your hands, perment dyed leather won't do that.

Ever peeled open a bubble packed Chinese chrome accessory and had the chintzy chrome plating remain stuck to the plastic and peel right off the part?
Before the EPA got the say so in the '70s you could get copper, nickel, chrome parts. What was known as triple plating. Now it's nickel flash and chrome flash which chips and peels easily.

That's right and not only that, leather from overseas has an annoying smell that doesn't go away. I bought a belt for one of my nice belt buckles a while back and I had to give up on it. It had a terrible odor that was very chemical in nature. I had to toss it out.

Much Asian and Middle East leather is urine tanned. That's why the odor keeps on giving. Even the strong dye aromas won't overcome it.

I went with the Liberty Trees which are well made in the USA and I think I came out cheaper than buying the Tri-Glide parts. Liberty gave me $100.00 off just ask them. They work great also on my 08 RoadGlide

It is a real workout with a live person in the hack, I won't say my lovely wife weights more than the tool box, but well...........................lol. So will enjoy the rest of the summer and fall the way things are, so if ya see this old injun on the road give us a wave.

Easy there.....don't be talking about how much any lady weighs, especially your spouse! Phew, that's someting I'd never do........(gulp...cough, cough)

If you are sure that your bike will be dedicated to the sidecar more or less permanently, then raking the trees is a good idea.

It would be nice if a company could build a set that is adjustable like HD used to have. That was the best of both worlds since you had a solo setting and a sidecar setting.

There wasn't enough demand for it but it was still a good idea.

I got the ACCUTRONIX ELITE 49MM TRIPLE TREES for my Dyna.
They work well and look great.
