R100GS suspension question

We have a 94' R100GS with Dnepr hack. Need to beef up the suspension. I'm thinking stiffer fork springs and shock on the bike should do the trick. Anybody have any comments/suggestions? mayrel@direcway.com Early thanks..ride safe..John
