HAS ANY ONE OUT THERE EVER TRIED TO MOUNT A SHOCK OR SOME TYPE OF SUSPENTION ON A STOCK HARLEY SIDECAR FRAME (WHEEL)? THE SETUP IS VERY STOUT BUT REAL HARD ON THE LOWER BACK. THANK'S AND HAPPY HOLIDAY'S JOE C,

Hi, Joe

I just got my HD rig and your question came to mind, I was surprised to see how the tub easily rocked like a baby cradle, been looking things over and I think a shock could be mounted under the front tub support, (provided we’re talking about the same thing here, the tub rocking?) there’s a lengthy thread on the yahoo site with a lot of good tech and ballast discussion, check out the torsion bar idea ( it may have been a sway bar deal ????) posted by Claude, at any rate it does seem like a shock or a torsion bar would help take the rocking out, also may help keep the hack from tipping or nosing down when breaking hard. Joe I’m a newbee and it may be a good idea to ask around if it would upset something else with the rig, wonder if the Liberty hack is configured similarly to the HD hack and has the rocking horse effect too?

Good luck and Merry Christmas

The Liberty cars have a full sprung trailing armsuspension and tub springs.
