Mounting a 95 Champion Daytona 2+2 to a 07 Harley
Hi, Can anybody out there help me? I am the proud owner of a 1995 Champion Daytona 2+2 sidecar. I am interested to know if anyone out there has mounted this sidecar to a 2007 Harley Street glide or Ultra. I have recently purchased the sidecar and my preference for a bike is the Street Glide. Does anyone out there know if there is bike side bolt-on bracketry for this sidecar to fit an 07 Street Glide? Anyones help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My current ride is a 99 Heritage Softail with a Liberty Classic sidecar, This setup has worked great but my kids are getting older and I am looking for a bit more comfort and power in a new ride!
I haven't hacked a 2007 Roadglide but a 2006 and a 2007 were here at the shop last week and there are slight visual differences apparent between the two.
There have been small differences in what sidecar mounts fit the Harleys every year or so. The frame tube diameter, engine changes, battery placement, footboards and swing-arm changes have all caused changes in sidecar mountings. Another thing I've found is some "Screamin' Eagle" models use different hardware than the standard models of the same year.
You might check with California Sidecar or Champion. Both use the same type of mountings.
