I asked about headlight restorer earlier and just tried it but am not to impressed with the results. My windshield looks simple enough to possibly make I just don't know how to bend the plexiglass. I wouldn't even mind someone else making one for me if anyone knows who could do that (a business or someone willing to ship). I think this is my last question. My sidecar handles pretty nicely. I am just not use to being so wide. My friend who what providing the wait found out what hitting a curb at about 10mph does when I cut a corner to sharp. I now need to take the drag pipes off and put the factory pipes back on with the baffles knocked out (already done) as the drag pipes are way to loud for the side car passenger. I got my dog some doggles. She doesn't like them but they fit so she will just have to learn. I just need to modify a leach to hold her in the sidecar. Also have to finish the wiring on the sidecar but at least the bike is side is done. I have a couple links to pictures of a hitchhiker sidecar with the same windshield as the one I own (not my sidecar though). I don't know how to post pictures so that is the best I can do till I figure out how on this forum. Again the only thing I need help with now is the windshield. The old one will work but it really isn't very clear. I wouldn't want to ride behind it so I can't imagine others wanting to either. Thanks again for all the help.

Polishing plastic takes a lot of time and patience and multiple compounds, I have a palm sander that I put a piece of sheep hide on a polish polish polish, you'll get it but it does take time.

Try clearviewshelds.com. I had them make a windshield for a used fairing I bought. Fit perfectly. Might have to send them the old one to match if they don't have the specs. I was able to give them a model number and they had it. Max

I tried contacting the clearviewshelds.com but they haven't emailed me back yet. I also went to an auto store and got a mothers headlight restorer kit that has a foam head that goes into a drill and then some stuff in a bottle that you put on as well. Hopefully it goes better then the Walmart junk I bought. I would like a new windshield because several of the holes are cracked. It mounts find but it has just seen its age. The bends would be easy enough to do if I knew how to do it without ruining it. as they are straight 45 degree bends 4 times.

Coalminer: If you are in an area that has one, check with an industrial plastics supplier (we have "Regal Plastics" here in NW Louisiana). My brother had a replacement windshield for his Mako bay boat -- similar in shape to the Hitchhiker -- fabricated by a plactic shop in the Houston Texas area.

Here's the pic of my Hitchhiker shield he's referring to that looks like his. I plan to cut this down 4 inches and then have the top made.
