looking at gettin an old Indian side car ,passenger type .and wondering if anyone here know if it can be converted to the Harley style mounts . ball and socket type ..trying to hang it on my 54 Pan...any ideas ?? I dont want to ruin a 70 year old piece of history ..

Whatever you do, if the sidecar is original, don't make any modifications to the sidecar. If it is original, it could be worth a lot of money, perhaps enough to get you a new rig.
I guess you can attach anything to a different bike. I would fabricate mounts which clamp to the bike and the sidecar - no drilling, and welding only on the mounts.
