I would try 3/8" to 3/4" for the toe-in. Set the lean at 1 degree plus with the rig loaded. The old 5.00 X 16" should be OK since the tub is sprung.

Poor Indian sidecar! That is an offense to it.
Sorry, I am just kidding, but I grew up with the idea that the Indian was way better quality then the HD.

At least when I grew up in Germany HD had a reputation for its electric that was worse then the one from Lucas, "Knight of darkness".
Watching now the Indians and HDs that pass through the shop of our Jawa importer (none of them is young), I prefer the Indians.
For to save the honor, nowerday HDs seem to be as reliable as Japs until the owners start to play with them....

No renchour please for this occurency. I just had a glass of good wine that rose into the head...Tomorrow is the day I get home into cold Germany...
.. If I get the W650 with s/c there will be no rental car in the next weeks... Sadly Dan's rig in NC got seperated.

there is no tyre right now ..and the rim is going to be replaced ..so I was looking at a flat tread and thinking there must be something more comfortable ..3/8 seem like a lot ..but gotta start somewhere..

Just came back from Germany into the rainy season of Costa Rica and I definetely would have loved to have a 2 or better 3 wheeled bike in this fantastic spring weather we had in old Germany. My first spring since 1988!
How is your HD-Indian rig growing? Or are you too bussy riding into the spring?
For sure I could understand that, don't ask how jealous I had been each time I saw a biker.
