I have recently obtained a '96 SE1500 with a Hannigan Astro GT car attached. Are there any highway pegs available that will fit both sides of the bike. The stock pegs are pretty uncomfortable after an hour or so. There is a board mounted on the left side on the engine guard but having something for the left leg only provides temporary relief at best.

do you have any pictures of the right side? Are these just standard or a special stock number? I sent an email to Jim Mick about his Mick-o-pegs which looked really cool but he didn't think they could be set on a rig setup.

With my bad back, I have found the passenger pegs to be more comfortable for the long stretches. You might give that a try. since you already have them.

Thanks, but my wife gets a little peeved when I step all over her feet ;^) I've used that method before but it's only temporary anyway. I find that I need to stretch my legs out and more forward in order to get the most relief. Between the rig and the lower fairing setup, there just isn't much room to do much here. I'm a little disappointed in the design of the regular pegs as they seem to be back a little too much for my tastes in the first place.

If your wife is behind you, who's in the sidecar?

I have a seventeen year old son with Down Syndrome who has loved motorcycles since he was a wee one, but could never ride on any two wheel vehicle due to balance and equilibrium issues. Last year at the Roar to the Shore in Wildwood, NJ he had an opportunity to ride in a rig around the block and you could tell he had just achieved a life long dream. Needless to say, I now have a rig and he is in hog heaven. I never thought a rig could be so much fun, but the family value has been immeasurable. Now, if I could just get my legs comfortable ;^)

I have a GL1800 with Hannigan GTL. I just wrapped the forward sidecar mounts with friction tape to protect them & rest my right foot there. Found a guy with a box full of highway pegs who sold me a left for 30 bucks. Works for me (cheap, too).

i have a 99 1500se with a hannigan super sport. got a strap clamp to fit engine guard and mounted highway peg to left side. built a trailer hitch out of 1x2 stock mounted between bike and sc. makes a good floor board.

Probably will go to boards. I have them on my Harley and love them, but they still don't relieve the foot/leg position but they are definitely more comfortable then pegs. I have also discovered that one of the mounts does provide some additional relief and have used that, and I do have a highway board mounted on the left but the difference in position between the two sides still doesn't make for comfortable distance runs. But part of my problem is the seat. It is the stock seat and well broken in as it is 12 years old with 60k on it. I'm definitely changing that puppy out. I've been following some threads on the various seat options for the wing but am really hoping to get to some rally's with lots of wings so I can sample a few before I decide. I have a mustang on my Heritage and love it, but I'm not sure that it is the best choice for the wing, especially the passenger part. Decisions, descissions....
