I've been considering the triple tree mod to my flhtcu/tle but am wondering how that may affect the high speed stability of the rig. At freeway speeds it is rock solid in and around any kind of traffic and I would not want to have it become touchy or twitchy like some of the trikes I have ridden.

any input appreciated.

I've had the Liberty trees on TLE's and Liberty sidecar rigs and wouldn't leave home without them. Fingertip steering with a monkey and full tour gear aboard.
A three track vehicle handles differently than a two track one.

In theory the bike will be more twitchy out on the highway, The reality is that the benefits far out weigh the down sides. Usually I find that people that find the bike to twitchy have gone from stock non modified steering and not done the saddle time to get use to easy steering. After a few hundred miles you will have adjusted and will have stopped over correcting. My wife had a BMW that I reduced trail down to 1.2 inches. Even a couple of S/tep instructors found it almost impossible to ride until they put a few hundred miles on it at which time they loved it. You can also go half way with this if you are really worried about it. Rather then going with a tree that reduces the trail a lot, you could go with the tree Harley makes for the tri glide. While it does reduce trail it does not reduce it as much as most other tree's. For me I would go with as much trail reduction as you can get do the saddle time and learn to ride with reduced trail. The results will be worth it. The tree's we offer run $895
