I just had a delightful conversation with Douglas Bingham --- if I were anywhere near him, I'd be in his shop in a flash. What a fine fellow.

Does anyone out there know anyone who has a fully engineered mount for a Helix-Velorex 562 combo available? I am fairly handy, and can cut and weld, but I would prefer not to re-invent the wheel--- or end up inventing an unsafe or over engineered one.

There are lots of examples of this combo around, but descriptions of the mounting are lacking. Heck, I am willing to pay for your engineering or mounting hardware--- or for your time to make measurements and images.

These forum's have been a great general resource!

Try Lonnie Cook at NW Sidecar in Marysville Washington. Another one of those excellent fellows.

Bob Darden at Texas Sidecar and Trike is also a great guy. He has done scooter mounting too. Check out his web site.

I have a rig, design for Helix's, arriving tomorrow or Tuesday from Texas Sidecar. Once painted it's only suppose to take an hour to hook up. No alignment necessary, it's built into the rig.
Nice people to deal with.

Got my rig from Texas sidecar today. Everything was bolted down in a very sturdy crate and no damage. Quality is very good. Won't be able to work on it till we get back from our trip next Tuesday but I can "play" in it.
