I need to identify this front sidecar mount.
I got it with a 1932-1936 Harley Chassis. It has casting numbers 252 38 so I assumed it was for a 1938 Knucklehead but have been informed that it is not a 1938 Harley mount.
Can you identify it? UL? VL? ???

Lonnie,I believe that the front lower mount that you have is for mounting the VL style sidecar frame to a later style bike frame such as a Knucklehead that had the two loops on the lower down tubes for sidecar mounting.I know that the factory did make "adapting mounts" to continue using older products with newer model bikes such as the rear mount adapting block that clamps to a I believe a later 70's model rectangular swing arm frame bike which allowed the factory to continue using the sidecar frame that was introduced after the JD,VL frames. That is till they finally decided to change the rear mount,

Thanks,
It has been confirmed to be a VL to Knuck and maybe Pan mount.
I have it on eBay so I wanted a true description.
