I have a 2006 Harley bagger and checking the oil was always on the kick stand with the bike leaning you checked the oil. Now with a TLE sidecar. The bike now sits level and not able to lean it on the kick stand. Question now is where should the dip stick read the oil level for having the bike level

On bikes that have no sidecar level mark I always notch the dipstick with a file after an oil change to indicate the full level.
Just run it to fill the filter, let the oil settle then notch the dipstick.
Same with the transmission dipstick. A visual check works for the primary oil level.

With the sidecar attached, the oil level will read 1/2 quart higher. so proper cold level will read 1/2 quart higher than mark and hot level will read 1/2 quart overfill.

the newer dip sticks have a mark on the back side of the stick in the middle of the text - its a little diamond - thats the hot level for sidecar use
