Has anyone put a sidecar on a GS650GL? I am having trouble installing the lower rear mount. I cannot find a place to put it. I am using the universal mounts from Velorex. Looks like I'll need something custom.

Probably need a sub-frame. Not much to work with with the Beemer frames.
The Universal kit will work with some full perimeter framed bikes but no BMWs that I know of after 1969.

I was thinking GS650 as in BMW. The small sub-frame Jay described is easily fabricated by a welding shop (or a buddy with a welder).

On your Suzuki if you remove the center stand it is fairly easy to make a sub frame that picks up both of the mounting locations and also picks up the passenger foot peg mount. This moves the rear lower mount further back then the main frame will allow.
