Been lurking here for a long time. Wife doesn't think we need two cycles so I'm thinking of hacking my GL 1800. The GL 1800 had two or three years of cracked and broken frames. Mines' an '05, the year the problem was supposed to have been fixed. The question I have for all of you is do you think the frame is strong enough to handle a car as big as the Watsonian Oxford?

Thanks in advance for your comments and suggestions.

I am not familiar with the Watsonsian Oxford. Hannigan mounts a GTL model which is pretty large, it is what I have. I beleive they have mounted over a couple hundred of these.

I might guess that it depends a bit on who designs the mounts, etc.

Greg,

Appreciate your prompt reply. You're right, I'm familiar with Hannigen and I would bet they weigh even more than the Oxford. Check out Side Strider at this address;

Thanks again.
