I've wanted a fork brace for our Vstar 1100 Custom, have scoured the internet, and no luck.

This morning I got the mail, and on page 20, in a story by Doug Anderson, is a photo of a Vstar 1100 Custom with a fork brace!

Can someone help me out here with finding whose Vstar 1100 that is so as I can find out from whom he purchased it from?

TIA,

Michael

Hi, It was my VStar with Velorex sidecar you saw at Paso Robles. The fork brace you are seeking can be found on superbrace.com

Wow, thanks Carla, nice rig (looks similar to ours, LOL).

They claimed that they haven't ever made one! I wonder what the deal is with them?

If I email them again, can I have your permission to use your name as a reference?

Maybe the name of the person you delt with there? Model number?

Thanks again and best,
Michael

Probably purchased it about 4-8-2008. Product ID: 1101 for Yamaha V-Star 1100 Custom 200-2007. The price was $165.95. Perhaps if you contact them they might still have one in stock.
In addition on eBay there was a similar one made by different company called Fastec-Racing. Again I would verify it would fit your bike. A 3rd site I found was Partsmotorcycleforsale.com they had the same Fastec-racing fork brace listed.
Never give up.

Hello Michael

The 1999 Honda VT 1100 T that I bought about a month ago has a "Superbrace" on it. The original owner put the rig together in 2003 and I assume he added the brace then. I cannot say how much it might help because I have never operated the rig without it. But, the way it is set up it tracks very well without a steering damper. So, I am guessing the brace does help. Your question has got me interested. I may try to find one for my Yamaha V-Star.

Thanks for starting this thread.
