Europe: ABS a must from 2016 on

Dear friends,
law makers are definitely no bikers and less rig pushers.
In Europe they are about to make a law that every new bike over 125ccm shall have a ABS system for to be street legal.

Which sidecar builder will be able to invest into the necessary development costs for a few rigs a year....
It is not hard to imagine that the "over rulers" who are supposed to be our representatives will soon take over this new fancy "safety issue" for this side of the great pond too.
Day light driving and reflective clothes I promoted myself since I got their benefits to know in Sweden and England.
For the first bike ABS system I applied myself at Lukas Girling as test driver. As soon I read about it I passed by their office early 80tees in England.
But which young driver will learn to "read" a road and adapt his riding according to the conditions when there will be a piece of electronics that makes him feel as Stirling Moss or Georg Meier. I was the one who predicted the soon death of a greenhorn neighbour. A bike and rig ABS for sure will save the one or other life.
BUT make it law? I fear more youngsters will hand over their spoon to Saint Peter way too early.
And the few sidecar builders who are left will feel much worse the already over ruled bureaucracy.
Who will be left over in a few years?
Sven
