Early? Champion Escort shock replacement
Anyone know where I can find a replacement shock assembly for my escort side car. It doesn't look like others I have seen and I'm thinking my rig my be an older unit but have no idea how to tell when the side car was made. I do have a serial number 01342. Measures 13 inches center eye to eye top bolt is half inch and bottom is 5/8. The bottom mount is offset toward the side car.

Thank you
Mike

Might try these folks, they were very friendly and helpful to me in the past.

I've tried contacting them on some other things and never got a response.

Maybe they don't do much email, I've called and talked to the boss man several times.
It is a progressive brand shock as used on Harley applications but with a different spring rate, springs are easy to swap on these shocks and we stock them as well as a few different spring rates.

I e-mailed and called/left messages several months back trying to get replacement brake pads. I had to by 2 sets guessing which set it had by what I could find online.
We usually have brake pads in stock, Two types either depending on age they will be held in with one or two pins. This is all we need to know in order to know which pads you need. Also Champion no longer offers the brake rotors for these as their supplier stopped making them. While we no longer use these rotors we do make them and keep them on hand.

Received the shock today(that was fast!) and what a difference! I would suggest if the age of you shock is unknown REPLACE it. Should have done it sooner.
