I see where the triple tree mod can be a 4 or 6 degree rake, can you tell me the advantage or disadvantage of the 6 degree over the 4 degree rake.
I have a 2007 Goldwing with a Hannigan GTL sidecar and want to improve the steering effort. Not sure which one would be right for this setup.
Any one have the 6 degree rake? All I have seen are the 4 or 4.5 degree rake.

I would go with the 6. One reason it was not offered at first and why some companies still do not offer it is that it required a bit for work to develop then the 4.5 degree. We offer both. $995
The 6 degree offers a bit lighter steering.

Thanks for the speedy response . I am after lighter steering, will it require a steering damper to keep the frontend from wobbling ?
Thanks again.

I have a 2008 GL1800 with the Hannigan eazy steer. I have no problem with handling once I got the tire pressures corrected.

I have the 6 degree on the 1500 that works great without damper, no problem. Always wondered if the 4 would be more steady because mine can be a little quick steering at speed in windy conditions.

I have a 2008 Goldwing with a Hannigan GTL Car. I have a 4.5 degree triple tree. I have NO problems with the steering once I trim the car for the current load. The tires made more of a steering effort than anything. Tire pressure is critical ! I am running a 195/60-16 Kuhmo on the rear and stock Elite 3 on front. I found that my best set up was 32lbs rear, 32lbs front, 25lbs car. The rig has max preload on the sidecar shock. This is the best set up I have found for my rig. Handles great even on the twisties.

Thanks everyone for the information. I have gone with the 6 degree rake and it works great. No damper needed no shake or wobble.
