california friendship 2
I just purchased this rig and while waiting to get it installed I noticed it has a place for a radio and speakers. I'm sure I can figure out the radio, but the speaker installation has me stumped. I don't want to drill or cut if I don't have to ,but am willing if that is the way its done . Does anyone have pics or install instruction. Thanks for the help.
Bubba,
Welcome from the Hawkeye state. I have a Friendship III. A little bigger as it is a 2 passenger, but here is what I did. I only wanted Blue tooth MP3.

I took the handlebar holder apart and drilled two small holes each in dash to hold the speakers. Wife says they are out of the way and sounds great.
The CSC FS II speakers go on each side of the top of the dash, same as on the FS I. Hope these pictures post.
yes they do. Thanks .do you have Pic from bottom ? that is what I was confused about. those cup looking things . is that just to hide speaker bottom from inside ? again Thanks for all the help..
Here is a picture of the under side of the FS II speakers & hatch. The other picture shows how Champion mounts their speakers on the floor of the Legend Sidecar. The last picture shows the FS II SE speaker bottom cover.
OK. did you mount the speakers? did you have to remove windshield. to drill speaker hole ?? what size speakers fit best? and what is deal with Vent tube ? OH yea where did ya mount radio ? or did ya use stereo on bike ?
Sorry so many little questions . I will try to figure how to post pics of my Chair as I go >>
I did not mount the speakers or radio. I believe the picture shows how the CSC factory installed the radio in the dash as every FS I & FS II I have seen has it mounted there. The air vent tube on the FS II SE goes up to a vent on the dash to blow on the passenger. On the FS I & FS II the air vent is just on the floor in the nose.
If it helps get it on the bike we do make bike specific mounts for about 300 different bikes as well as steering modifications and some automotive wheels.
