We're a small toolmaking company that have accepted a order to build bolt on brackets to mount a Ural sidecar to a BMW 1150. Has anyone done the exact same applicaton? We have looked at possible methods of bracketry and sub frames but would rather not reinvent the wheel. If anyone is willing to share any ideas that they have already worked out I would be pleased to do the same. I have full CNC capability for such things as machining the lower ball mounts as well as GTAW for any fab work. Looks like a fun challenge.

I saw him at the Royal Distributing opening last night. I introduced myself started talking rigs and then we realized you were the connection and that I was standing in front of the rig you built. I gave him a Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers card and invited him out any time he wants to show. I also gave him some pointers that i learned here like counter weight in the car when you have no passenger, easy on the right handers, shift your weight like riding a snowmobile it helps cornering etc. He thinks he still has to adjust the lean out. I told him to take the measurements with the rig loaded so it would be set up as though it were being ridden . Seems like a great guy!
