Air-Oil steering dampners?

I have read earlier posts regarding steering dampners and recently fitted an EZS Munro to a Rocket3 Touring. The sidecar unit came as a complete kit i.e. auto wheels etc for the bike, leading link forks etc. The rather large steering dampner has been leaking oil slightly and I have been told it is of a non-repairable type. In the earlier posts there was a mention of Air Steering Dampners. Does anyone have a thought on them at all? I have ridden the unit for about 100km without the dampner and found it a little 'light' in the front end at speed. However the oil dampner (perhaps as a result of the leaking) makes the unit a dog to turn in confined spaces at a low speed. I do have a K100 with a chair, also with leading links and an oil dampner and it is magic to ride and steer, makes the Rocket feel like a 'beached whale'

I don't think this fits here. For industrial use I work with autoadjusting shock absorbers from Festo. What a feast. Hard hit strong = absorbing but soft end stop. soft and slow hit = really smart break. Just in glas drilling mashines I had to put condones as water and glas powder protection.

Regular gas shock absorbers aren't repairable neither. As so are most comercially available shock absorbers.
