Hey everyone, just bought a California Freindship II, want to mount it on a 98 Harley Heritage that has the LendgendAir adjustable shocks. The front has been lowered one inch, any problems?? Also how do you tell what year the sidecar is, I contacted CaliforniaSidecar with the ser# and they said they can not track it that way,,, any help. thanks Axe

The Heritage already has limited ground clearance as stock. If your mounting system has any components that hang below the frame you may have a scraping problem with steep driveways, speed bumps and trailer ramps if used. A good example is the Softtail California (Harley Clone) framed Indians. With a Legend sidecar the front mount only had a couple of inches ground clearance. I'd suggest raising it back up for the hack.
If your sidecar has a trailing link, coil over shock suspension and uses 5/8"x5/8" heim joints for the two lower mounts you are in good shape chassis wise. If not it will need safety upgrades. Like a vintage sportscar, with a hack the year isn't as nearly as important as the condition of the unit.
