I just bought this rig.....it's been sitting for a few years.. has 7,500 miles on it.. from the original lady owner
they did a super job on it -- it has reverse , dual heavy duty disc front brakes
...and something that I am not familar with a electric motor the raises and lowers the angle on the car..
also has a " Bubble level" on the triple trees ..the car was painted and striped to match the bike.. Her husband was a perfectionist and long time HD guy .. he passed a few years ago and she just never really used it all that much and dosen't know what he did to the rig.

He spent a lot of $$$ setting this rig up back in 1991. Has a few alignment issues and tires are old ...
it sounds like it has a cam and S&S carb on it ... never has been abused or ridden much ...

I bought it for my wife who was leaning towards a new HD Tri Glide ... then I found this (whew... missed a 35,000 dollar bullet)

give me your thoughts on what to check on it... I am not a good wrench .. only have a "check book repair kit "

Have it serviced., put in a new battery, replace any tires that are checked and have your wife drive the hell out of it.
Those Buell framed FXR's make great tugs. Best platform Harley ever built.

That looks like the rig that belonged to a fellow I knew named J. Todd......I wonder......?

The electric lean is a nice feature. It's handy on a road with a high camber. The hot cam is not something I would want on a sudecar rig due to the higher torque point but you can get used to it.

Nice looking rig. It sure looks familiar.

YES .. it was Jimmie Todd's bike .. I never met him .. Jay at Sac Harley told me about the bike ..they sold it new ... Bobby T assembled it (he's still a tech there) and someone else did the sidecar mounting

I don't know much about the history, I just assumed it was his wifes .. but it sounds like it was his ... he sure did things first class .. were you guys buddies? you know Mike DaBike too?
I usely ride a Cal Vintage Guzzi ..and hang out at Folsom Harley

Hi, I will PM you. That's an excellent rig, by the way. Yes, Jimmy was quite a fellow. He was the President of Sacramento HOG in the early 90's when I was the secretary. I rode with him many times and he was a close friend. I hadn't spoken to him for a long time and I'm sorry that he passed away.
