im looking for a 15" x 4" steel rim - i want to build a spoke wheel to match the other two on my hd ultra / tle/u setup. right now im running a solid aluminum 15" x 3.5 wheel with a 145r15 - the tire is actually 1/4" narrower than the stock tire so i should be able to go with a 4" wide rim - possibly even a 4.5" unit with the same tire - i hope to have it all set before the tire needs replacing -then ill swap and offer the solid wheel up for sale.

i have the machine tools to drill and dimple it - just need a rim - i could even machine out the center if the rim is otherwise right.

anybody know of any source?

thanks

How about a temporary spare rim off a passenger car, they are usually pretty narrow. Other place might be a old time hot rod wheel source, seems they used narrow rims on the front of many of those. Max

vw beetle based sand rods and kit cars used them for front wheels, also original mustangs used them for drag cars. craiger made them, centerline made them and a bunch of citroen cars used them.

ive found a few of the large bolt pattern vw ones in 15 x 4.5 ... and a few craigers 15 x 4 the vw are the closest and look to be the simplest to reman to what i need.
