Hey guys, I have an 03 TLE Ultra on a 04 Roadking. The sidecar has speakers and a 40 watt amp with plugs for a factory HD radio. My question is this: Is there anyone out there who has a wiring diagram or can help me with color codes for hooking this to a regular radio, mp3, xm etc.? I dont care about having anything so I can hear on the bike, mainly just something to keep the kids entertained on long trips.
get a full factory flh 04 manual - it has the wiring in the back
then get a 03 full factory sidecar manual
between the two you will get your answers
the 03 sidecar has a amp that reads the output of the speaker leads that go to the rear speakers of the bike and use those - where the problem is going to come is that the switch on the right speaker pod controls one half of the functions on the radio. you will probably need to find a pre 05 radio [cassette tape style] and mount it somewhere and make a harness.
it might be a lot of work but its doable, with a lot of r&d
