I have the opportunity to buy a 2007 Harley Sidecar, and I have a 2008 Harley Classic.
My question is, will the two match up without having to buy a new $$ mounting kit?

The parts should, if not you can get the correct piece instead of the entire kit. I think the 08 is the first year for the underneath the motor frame brace as the wider tire set up they reinforced the frame

No ... Harley didn't do the frame change till the following year ... 2009 is when Harley went to the "new & improved" frame and wider tire ...
The only changes I know of between 07 & 08, was the addition of the cush drive in the rear wheel and the Bremo brakes ...
This was why I got excited when I found the hack ... I was in hopes it would hook up with no hassles, but wanted some expert advice to be sure ...

If it's a TLE sidecar, according to the '08 Sidecar book you need:
1- The mechanical connection kit (components needed to connect the sidecar) with the instruction sheet to hook up the wiring harness. #87166-08
2- Brake line #877608.
3- Bank angle sensor switch kit. #87115-03
4- Stand off, front #87165-02

Thanks Lonnie, that part list is very helpfull.
One more question ... what is a fair price for a 2007 LTE ultra side car ? The guy had it on his bike for two summers, and desided he liked riding without it better. It's been sitting in his garage ever since ...

Thanks
G

don't have a clue. Price comparisons are available at NADA or Kelley blue book. Prices vary a lot with the sales area.

if it comes with the ENTIRE mounting kit its worth 1200 more than if its missing parts.

90 percent of the time all the really expensive niddling needed tiny parts are missing

brake pedal, brake res, brake hose, brake cyl adapter, brake tee, brake plug (and clamps etc to go with)
oil 90 bend
roll over switch
three sets of large steel mounts, rear, front top and front bottom
rt saddle bag latch
special clutch cable
im sure im forgetting something... *sigh*

get the parts list for the kit - and check over the pile he is providing - subtract for each missing part - none of them are cheap and they have not been made now for a few years so its a hassle to get the little parts - and you really cant mount the thing without the little parts. also remember that the big parts are the cheapest....... also - some of the brake parts are one year only - 07 and 08 had a couple of special bits because the brake mfg changed... the mounts will all be the same - its the parts that are worth there wt in silver that will ruin you day.

09 to 11 are all almost the same, about 04 to 06 are almost the same - 07 and 08 are almost the same. the newer the bike the more special the mounting hardware gets from 07 on.
