Thanks storch.........that was the route we were intending to take. As a matter of fact we want to stay in Midway. There is a nice (clean) motel/restaurant right on the highway and is very reasonable cost. If the weather is really warm may camp at Midway. Nice campground by the river. Have not taken the Midway border crossing but was going to consider that route. Do you know that road? Anything I should be aware of ie. any long distances for fuel???
Will need to keep an eye on the weather and road conditions especially at the summit of the Salmo/Creston as well as Paulson Pass. Have gone through snow in May over those passes before. Should not be much of a problem with three wheels. Every other time I did it it was on only two wheels.
cu in Chelan
Hey Hack'n......are we going to meet you in Chelan?
Lonnie,it would be great to see you at Chelan.I am still driving the old FJ 1100,getting kind of attached to it.It is not yet finished, but a bit more finished than last years Chelan
Work and weather permitting I am tentatively meeting up with my (Canuck) road partner in Chelan and we will go from there.
I don't usually spend too much time at Rallys. Gave up camping in 2001. I usually drop off a couple of chintzy door prize items and spend a couple of hours at most, with a walkabout, a few Boy Howdies, take some pix and maybe a video or two then hit the road for far away places.
At Tahoe last year we arrived, dropped off prizes at the Rally site where noone was, went to the airport and took pix and a video of several rigs at the games then headed south to complete a 10 state tour.
Judy doesn't let me out of the shop all that often so when she does I like to cover as much ground as possible.
If you see an Orange and Black rig that looks like my last three pix in my Hack'ns #12 album that'll probably be me.
Hope for decent weather, we've hit some whiteouts on the North Cascade Highway as late as Memorial Day weekend when we used to come from the Puget Sound side.

Lonnie, you let work interfere with pleasure?
