I know DMC sold out and Texas Sidecar acquired some of DMC assets .

Question is Texas Sidecar now offering DMC products and or supporting DMC sidecars.

Kent, the owner of Texas Sidecar, mentioned last night that they are building and selling multiple styles of sidecars using their molds and the DMC molds. He said if you order a sidecar today, expect a four month turn-around. They are hiring and training new employees as they find the right workers.

Sounded like they are up to about ten or so employees now. Bare in mind they are also fabricating bike specific sub-frames, hitches and MC trailers, with more designs and products in the development pipeline.

He did mention that the DMC supplier that fabricated their wheel assemblies no longer offers the style they sold to DMC. Getting parts for the old style will be a problem for anyone who has that style.

@smitty901, to answer your question, since Jan did a Texas Toucan Shuffle in his attempt to answer your question (ha ha ha ha ha), the answer is basically YES.....TSC/DMC is now producing DMC sidecars and products, all under new ownership, new location (Texas), and mostly made by new employees (compared to most of the former DMC employees that worked in WA State.

It should be noted that TSC/DMC did not assume any of the liabilities of the previously made DMC products from when it was under the previous ownership of Jay G. That is not to say that TSC/DMC wouldn't look at individual cases and make individual decisions of how to remedy issues that were produced prior to TSC taking over the former DMC product line, but TSC is not technically, nor ethically responsible for the prior issues of the former DMC product line.

All that means is, TSC now produces DMC products, and if a sidecar owner that has a former DMC product with an issue brings that issue to TSC/DMC for remedy, at that time TSC/DMC will make a case by case decision as to how best to accommodate that sidecar owner, if they can at all.

Ultimately, the one and only person that can give THEE definitive answer to all this is Kent Silk, the owner of TSC/DMC.
