Got rear-ended while stopped at traffic light, minor damage.
Back of car some scratches, trim(?) piece (wraps around body where top/bottom join) broken, some body rivets popped out.
How do I determine year/model and can anyone suggest where to find parts?

Sorry to hear about your problem. Try posting a picture here. Somebody can probably tell just what you have.

If it were me, I would send some pics to Jay Giese at DMC Sidecars. He's pretty knowledgeable and he may be able to help you. You might consider putting out some feelers by e-mailing some pics to other sidecar dealers. It wouldn't hurt. I also agree with Comet that posting pictures here may help.
