We rode to the Trail of the
Dragon out side of Robbinsville NC. Its called Deals Gap. We didn't ride the Dragon, just had lunch and came back home.
Hope you made some rest stops that must be close to twenty miles.
It's TAIL; not trial or trail. Just a bit of chain yanking.
If I were lucky enough to live that close I'd be riding it twice before lunch and again after lunch every Sat.
Tail of the Dragon is correct but Trial of the Dragon might be more descriptive having ridden it myself!!! Deals Gap biker stop has some of the best food around.!!!!
We rode the "tail" on our way to the USCA national rally in June. It was a weekday with very little traffic, we rode a National Forest road almost as winding on the way to Blue Ridge, GA that evening.
Aiden and I were there in 2012, It was an awesome ride , and the journey there and back since we live about 500 miles away.
