Warning-USCA National
Warning...Red alert..condition red
Let it be known that a man known as Al Olme, AKA 'Uptown Al', is in transit to North Carolina as this is being written. He was last seen in Penns Creek Pa at a business known at C Stanley Motorsports, Inc.
Mr. Olme is driving a SUV with a nice trailer in tow carrying one /2 conversion with a Ural sidecar and one K100RS with a full EML conversion and EML Sport sidecar. Rumor has it that the EML rig may be for sale at a good price.
Subject is expected to be in route to the United Sidecar Association National Rally which will be held near grandfather mountin this weekend.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
I'm in the KOA at Ashville West and will be headed there tomorrow. RED ALERT is it???
Me and Earl are going up Saturday. Earl has a ... ummm....distictive looking sidecar.
Looking forward to meeting you both. Man when it rains here it really rains. I'm hoping the gps can get me there.

Well the EML rig is red and silver 🙂
Sure will miss being there.
I'll miss seeing ya too Claude. It does look like the sun is going to shine today. Remember that VA Rally? We probably wouldn't have made it home without your help. Making more memories...
Gee Claude- the only reason I was going was to meet you. Earl's going to be crushed after the build-up I gave him. I guess I'll wait until he asks about you. I can always tell him you're probably out leading a ride...
Meeting you and some others would have been th ehighlight of the trip for me too Ernie. It is going to be my loss no doubt. Of course you can always coem on up to the ron dee voo...we are about 500 miles from charlotte, nc....just a days ride 🙂
Ditto.. for me Claude, I was looking so forward to meeting you! God's speed to better health and I hope to see ya sometime soon. I our prayers... Tony Graf
Well, I'm here and camped near Harry and Joe from the Keystones. I've seen the red BMW/EML on the trailer and Al. Some folks have been here for a few days and more are arriving all the time. Free wireless here and cool weather.
Hey Joyce..hope you can be the 'roving reporter' for those who cannot make the rally. Have fun!
It was a beautiful day here today. It started out pretty cool but the sunshine warmed into a perfect day. Bikes started rolling in and didn't stop all day. Real good turn out so far. I finally got to meet Connie from this list and lots of new people too. We had Chili tonight. Chris and Gary from Hack'd are here too. Tomorrow is the "GS" lunch ride with good pavement and some gravel. I think I'm going to try it and so are some of the other street folks . Should be a lot of fun. Weiners and Brats tomorrow night.
Go ahead, rub it in!
I had begun planning to be there last fall. Here I sit in OH, bored stiff.
HAVE A GREAT TIME!
Sarge
Hi Joyce,
We got back home from the rally this evening after a lovely ride home on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I just wanted to let you know what a great time we had, well, except for maybe that little dirt road ride! We sure met some great folks!
Connie
What's wrong with a dirt road?
