Waiting And Waiting, It's Done!!!!!
We make bike specific not universal mounts for many bikes including triumphs as well as triple tree's to lower the steering effort. Wait time is about 4 weeks to make one up. We also have "universal" type frame clamps that we make and are in stock however bike specific mounts work much better.

Mine arrived last year with no instructions at all. Not a problem as we had already designed a mounting set up. Since it was going on a TGB R9i scooter we
used two steel plates under the floor board, cut to fit. Moved the battery from the floorboard to under the seat, bolted the reciever to the scoot, did some
unnoticible plastic removal, adjusted the angle set and she has done just fine. Did reduce top speed on the scoot by 10 mph but the setup does fine in
my rural area.
The guy I am useing to do the install also does machine work as well has scratch built trikes. He says today, 8/23 he can make a kit and install in a week. Pick up date the Friday of labor day weekend. If not I'll give DMC a call. Thanks for the info!
It's done, Friday is the day, 8/31. Pick up the rig after work!! Will need to detail and have the sidecar striped to match the bike but have the winter for that.
Picked up the completed rig, Cozy hooked to a 09 Bonneville. A very nice custom attachment kit made in the machine shop of Tobacco Road in Merril NY along with a great small windshield bracket. I put 110 miles on it today and will check the all bolts in the morn. The Cozy is a great sidecar but I can see where some upgrades will be needed!
Keep us posted on the upgrades. Soince I dont carry a passenger and the standard windshield was cutting the MPG rating way down I took it off along with the convertable top. I keep the tonneu cover on and carry 50 lbs
on the seat to counter balance the rig. I have a spare tire tyhat I want to mount on the trunk but cant find a mounting for it so I carry it in the side car. I get around 50 mpg on mine but the tug is a TGB R9i 150 cc scoot.
The Cozy is a good unit.
Thats great sherbs. I too ordered a sidecar from the same company as bwehner. I am still waiting. Mine was ordered the first week in April with an approximate delivery date of 90 days. Hope the wait is worth it. I live in Arizona so winter riding is not much of a problem. Unfortunately I have to cancel a ride that I planned for the end of this month because I do not have the sidecar. Afterall, how would it look with the Road Captain riding on the back of someone's bike. lol
Good for you Sherbs, enjoy the ride and show us what it looks like. Indianspirt are both waiting on ours. Mine was headed for the paint booth as of this past monday according the painter I talked too. Told them I needed to pick it up 9/14 , was told to call on Monday the 9th. What I want to see is a little let's go the extra mile and get this back log cleared up service from them and make some customers happy attitude from this company. Apologies only go so far. Riding season doesn't last forever in Iowa.
Hope all goes well with your soon to arrive sidecars!! A higher end car than the Cozy, I'm sure it will go better.
Now for a Newbie update! 250 + miles on the rig and a few problems appear. First the installer installed wire whip rubbed and well no lights, 2 hour fix, made up new whip. Center fender mounting bolt went to the gods of the road, had correct bolt and nut, 5 minutes. And the big one- Tractor Trailer goes by me in the opposite direction and launchs the back seat cushion from the side car, instant splinters and road rash. I picked up the seat back, but well not much left can't even use the wood. The good stuff, I feel the Cozy on a stock Bonneville handles better than a stock Ural rig. Took a ride on both and the Bonny is a bit smoother and shifting also has a smaller effect than the Ural. And I guess that could be in the set up? I think with DMC's triple tree it will be much better (winter project).
Are you referring to the running light on the fenders wire shorting out? Have nbever bothered to hook mine up. I wiil be sure that it cant rub when I do. Have never had a problem with the fender bolts but it sounds like it was an easy fix for you.
I dont ride the Xways and aleways have the tonneu cover on, glad I do from what you say happene3d to the3 seat!!
From what I have learned about the Ural I get beter gas milage and run at about the same speed. Still, have always thought the Ural would be a fun rig. Glad you are up and running!!
Yes, the installer did a whip to the top light and the rear one with a driving light mounted up front. The whip is zip tied and one spot moved some and rubbed through. I could of done a patch but opted to make up a new whip and reroute it. No freeways here, 55 mph 2 lane road outside of Lake Placid. Man can a seat fly, it could be the olympics. I wanted to see how the ural compared. A Bonnevile with a Cozy is about the same in price as the naked Ural with car. The Urals side car is bigger and has more features and a bit better in Quality. But the new Triumph bike is hands done better in all areas than the Ural bike itself.
I want to install a light in the nose of the hack but my people seem to be out of them. When we do the wiring I will be on the lookout for that problem. You are riding the kind of roads that I ride here in NGA. I have heard
thsat the Ural bikes have aways to go to enter the 20th century. Enjoy your ride
