Listing on ebay has ural type sidecars for $2,000.00 plus shipping. Individual states s/c are new and some with shipping damage in crates. Anyone know of this individual and if s/c are in fact useable? Sidecars are listed by "armysidecarbikes". Price seems too low, unless damage is extensive.

Yeah, that is Yuri. This is about his 5th or 6th seller name in as many years. About the 5th or 6th photo down is me on my Valkyrie. I have never done business with him and never will. I have asked him to remove it, but he refuses, saying it's public domain because he found it on the SKUNK site. Lawyer says he'll just change his name and put it up again.

Complaining to ebay was equally as fruitless.

Search Ural and Dnepr sites. You will find out a lot of bad info aboit Yuriy. Also $2000 for damajed sidecar is not a good deal. I paid less for Frendship 3 and lot less for Velorex. Cool down. You can find a good deal.

Do you want to buy from seller who get 26 negative and 21 neutral feedbacks?

My 81 year old riding buddy bought a Dnepr from him. My friend has an inpulse buying habit these days and has done many such things as a random whim in the past. You would not believe how crappy that machine is put together with the butt-load of parts taken from other vehicles. My friend spent a fortune in getting it all redone and back into some sort of running shape. Steer clear of this seller and run away from anythng he sells. Snakes are probably ashamed to have to share their name with him. He is lower than the sand beneath a snake's belly, in my opinion.

I have heard little good about Yuri, He often sells Dneprs and calls them "Urals" A Dnepr is no where near the same quality as a Ural. He also sells "universal" type mounts that their is zero chance of them working on any thing other then a Russian bike that has had its mounts cut off of.
If you do go with a Ural, Dnepr or the Chinese CJ sidecar. Unless it was a Ural or CJ that we imported where we had the frames made with adjustable mounts on both ends you are going to have to make changes to the frame. (unless of course it is going on a Russian bike or BMW /2 type bike) We make mounting kits where you cut off the front lower mount and weld in a new lower mount furhter forward so that it is not quite as long of a reach. We then go with our "boss and clamp" mounting system. Once this is done the sidecars will fit with our mounting kits, Champions mounting kits and when Califonria sidecars made kits, thier kits.
If this is the style of sidecar you are looking for we build 4 version very similar to it, they are the M72C, M72CX, M72D and M72DX. The M72C and CX sit down low and run a Harley style fender, wheel and tail light. The D and DX sit up higher and have a different fender and wheel. The X versions are 4 inches wider then the standard M72 which is pretty much the same size as the Ural. These sidecars are made by us in the USA with modern frames, suspention with lots of options such as electric trim, disk brakes, car wheel and on and on. And they come with bike specific NOT UNIVERSAL mounts (assuming you have a bike we make a mounting kit for)

I can attest to the quality of Jay's work. I bought the parts to adapt both a Dnepr and a Ural to fit other bikes. I started out with a Dnepr on my Valkyrie, then came across a Ural and adapted it as well. Well worth the money.

Thanks all for replys, will cross this guy off my list. I will check out the ural site for a new s/c. I like the looks of the car and the door cut out would allow easy access for my dog. I'm looking at getting a second rig. I'm kind of hooked on sidecars now and would like to have a single seater as well as the double wide Daytona (that is the wifes and she like comfort). Thanks again.
