trip report
I haven't posted here for several weeks. Last saturday morning (June 30) I left on a camping trip to southeast Ohio. Met up with my parents, 2 brothers their families and my daughter and her husband. Camped in Hocking Hills State Park. I kept busy hiking and giving rides in the sidecar. Returned home on wednesday, July 4 with another 1000 miles on the rig. 5 good days. My 80 year old dad had his first ride in sidecar in nearly 60 years. He wasn't sure he would like it since it was a Harley and not one if the Indians he loved. Mom had her first sidecar ride ever. (second and third too) The family camped beside me came and told me that his dad has a goldwing rig to take his mom who is confined to a wheelchair along riding. The next site was the campground hosts who were both longtime riders and experienced with rigs but not riding any more.
I will have some pictures online in a few days, but today need to get he rig cleaned up for the "Ride for Kids" tomorrow in South Bend.
I do have to thank my wife for the chance to go on this trip. I was gone on sunday, our 35th wedding anniversary. I had a wedding booked for saturday but the couple canceled about a week earlier so I didn't have to take those pictures and my wife told me to go and have fun since she couldn't get off work to go along.
