Just purchased a Dnepr rig on e-bay and looking for an economical way to ship from Seattle to the Albuquerque area. Most places quote around $900, which will upset my wife more than the purchase. Any suggestions?

Diamonds, buy your wife lots of diamonds. Diamonds are cheaper than divorce lawyers. Maybe buy a big shinny rock, inflate the price by maybe $900 bucks and go sneak your Dnepr home.

Just my idea, I have a Dnepr, and have "NO" wife, hint hint.

Good Luck,
Dave

Did you try 1800HAULBIKES. Daily Direct is a good door to door shipper.

Motomensch,
Check out the thread below on "Rig Shipping Vendors" quite a few folks weighed in on it, some good info there.

Dave, what kind of truck do you have, are you bonded and insured, when are you available and how long do you think it will take from pick up to delivery?

well I never heard back from Dave but went to u-ship and got a trucker coming from Seattle this way with room on the rig, and they bid the jobs on that site. Will get it here for $550, and hopefully by end of the month.

Let us know how it all works out. U-ship is a great concept. I was once planning a trip to my daughter's in southeastern Wisconsin and found someone offering $100 to haul a desk from Eau Claire to Lake Mills. It paid for my trip.

I'm sorry, I thought you would e-mail me direct. I have a Dodge P/U, I drove to Ohio to pick up my Dnepr w/sidecar. I'd just rent a U-haul, drive up to Washington and get it and bring it back. I'm in Southern CA.

Did you get a bike from Lloyd? My Dnepr was placed on the cover of Sidecarist promoting the Griffith Park Rally

Good luck,
Dave

Please E-mail me if you want, or if your interested in a Diesel Conversion for your Dnepr
