Just got back from the Honda Homecoming in Marysville, Ohio last evening. Of course, there were "lots" of motorcycles and a few sidecar rigs. I talked to a few who were interested in getting into sidehacking and I tried to steer them in the right direction as best I could (advised everyone to check out this site). I briefly got to speak to a gentleman who told me that he had been a champion motorcycle racer in the '40's (I didn't think to ask if that was with a hack). He had a beautiful white outfit with a huge sidecar. He also was escorting three women. When my husband saw it he said that if I had a car like that I could take three women with me. So, I said, "If I ever feel the need to take three women with me, then I'll get a sidecar like that."

Better to find three women with their own rigs/bikes. That way your husband would be boxed in and protected. 😉

After having spent the weekend riding and hanging around with my husband and six other guys (all married, but all without their wives), I wouldn't wish four people of the opposite sex on any one 😮 . Besides, I doubt that there are many women that could keep up with my husband, much less, box him in. I can only keep up with him because he wants me to. Well, I did met one woman this weekend who might. She was one of the Motor Maids who were giving a seminar at the Honda Homecoming. She had ridden a thousand miles the day before, riding from Florida to Ohio. (I have ridden from home in VA to Daytona Beach, FL in one day and I could actually ride further, but my eyes get too tired). I love my rig but I know that I work much, much harder than someone riding two wheels!

The one thing I really miss about going from 2 to 3 wheels is being able to 'get down' in the twisties. Did you know that the lane reflectors pop off if you catch them just right with your running board bracket? 😉 Few things in life like the look on a sport bike rider's face when a pack of tourers stick with them on a poker run. :O

Still, its also fun to take the dog for spin through town and be able to take the bike when I'm out shopping. We were laughing Friday that my rig's a 'babe magnet' after some 3-6 year olds wanted to pet the dog.
