Recently had Bob Darden mount his Texas Twinstar to my Valkyrie and am interested in adding a tail/brake light (possibly turn signal) to the sidecar. Other than looking at JC Whitney and the local parts stores, does anyone have ideas on nice looking lighting that preferably doesn't involve large holes in the tub?

Thanks for your help.

i'm also definitely interested in this info, so if u don't mind, i'm gonna tag along. i just got a motorvation roadster & would eventually like to get a led light to tack on the back of the sc. i have 1 on the tour pack of the bike that i'd like to try to match. less holes & less mess the better! thanks

Check out

www.taillightking.com

I've temporarily gone with a very basic round tail/brake light while I search. Love the 6" driving light I put on the front. Really lights up the road. Was going to go with a name brand and decided to try a JCWhitney special on sale. Probably not as good, but I'm satisfied. I'm visible and can see up ahead much better.

Good luck with your search.

My 2 cents:
Had California Friendship II for a LONG time and was getting ready to repaint body. Needed new tail/brake light/turn signal. Decided on tail light from the old VW Beetle [sold here until 1975]. Was planning on buying a new unit from VW dealer; think they look COOL! But, plans change and I ended up selling whole rig. Don't know if this info helps..... Old Tom in NH

i think i could have been a little more specific in my post. i do have a taillight right now ... it matches the basic square-ish taillight on the bike. it works & looks good, i won't change that any. wot i was lookin for was an xtra long, xtra skinny additional light to add eventually that matches the led light on the back of the tour pack. essentially, cosmetic reasons & to make it more visible @ night. now that u mention it, tho, turn signals added on might not b a bad idea, either.

There are also some long LED strip lights that are sold on eBay. I haven't been willing to buy one because I can't tell if they would look like they were just "stuck on" instead of really looking like they belong. Good luck in the search.

I think you are located in the DFW area. If so, locate the Flying J truckstop on I-20 between I-35 and 45. Across the street is a chrome and accessory shop which has every type of LED and standard light imaginable. You should be able to find what you are looking fof. Good luck!!

Thanks for the tip. Know right where the Flying J is. I'll stop by the other shop soon.
