sportsman's guide jerry cans
Hi Guys, I ordered a 10 liter jerry can for 22 dollars today. I'm going to try and have a mount made to put on my friendship sidecar. I like the looks of the ural cans but the price is through the roof. I figire this is a nice size can for a lot less money and I can always strap it to my luggage rack if a bracket can't be made for it.
Where did you order from? I am looking for additional fuel and water storage for those remote trips. Thanks.
Hi Keith, here is the link. I got them from sportsman's guide http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/us-military-style-10l-2-1-2-gal-jerry-can-olive-drab.aspx?a=904142uide. Copy and paste the link and you should be right at the page.
Thank you. Will be ordering this afternoon. Ride safe.

Thanks Jim , I ahve been looking for 20mm ammo cans to use for saddlebags. I couldnt find them anywhere.
Your welcome doug, they have some pretty good deals at the guide.
As of about 2 years ago, these cans are no longer legal for sale as "fuel" cans as they do not have a certified child proof lid, and even if they did they would not be legal in California as they do not have a certified filler assembly. They pretty much dried up in the USA for several years, we sold out of the red ones we purchased when we heard about the regulations. When we could get them near the end we were not able to get the fuel spouts, I ended up having to buy "water" spouts, same thing but blue in color. Still have some in stock. I suspect that you can only buy these in the color green and not red as they are not calling them fuel canisters. We now run the Roto Pax system which come in 1, 2 and 3 gallon, can be locked and also stacked.

Jay, they also have a fuel filler for 8 dollars but I like them without it. Check out the link I put up. I use the rotopax type on my atv but I like the classic jerry can on a sidehack.
