I registered on the forum maybe a year ago and just joined the USCA through the online form. I didn't get any confirmation page or email--what happens next?

Thanks,
Stephen

I recieved a Little later a letter with the member number and the statutes. SincΓ© then I recieve every 2 month the newspaper. Most important and the best of all was to meet in person members of the club.
on the other hand you have a question, somebody will come up with ideas, hints, contacts.....
Sven

Figure this, Saturday night a few weeks ago ai heard a shout while strawling with my wife through the neigbourhood.
2-3 days later via this forum I got the notice it was one of our members on the 80th birthday party of his father. Poncho lives in USA and his father 1mile from my farm.... :O

And you heard them a mile away? That must have been some party.

Stephen,

Did you sign up on the website to use the forum or did you fill out the application and send payment to be a member of the USCA? Joining the forum for free doesn't make you a member of the USCA. If you'd like to be a member of the USCA, go to ...

http://sidecar.com/membership_regs.html

to sign up. Members get the magazine, discounts on USCA sponsored rallies and soon access to members only areas of the website [hopefully coming before the end of the year]

Jim,
No, I passed by strawling through the night and as I passed by a parked trailer when somebody called from the back... (that passes so often, I never stop, specially at night with my nervous lady)
In the last years parties aren't what they used to be. Yes, 20 years ago we used to be unable to sleep on the weekends when they had disco night 1/2 mile away. The planted trees grew enough to dampen the noise and meanwhile that place went out of bussines. BIG BUT, When they errected a Gymnasium at the College across the street, it became TIME to buy a new house.... Now I should rent the farm for parking lot...:)
By gosh: Never!

Steven, You ask what comes next: Here with Jim you have quite a case...you should try to get him to know... or at least get some telephone numbers of his official sidecar ballast....;)

I joined the forum maybe a year ago. Earlier this week I filled out the application to become a member of the USCA. When I finished the paypal page, I got a confirmation of payment from paypal but no confirmation from the USCA site--I just wanted to be sure it had gone through. I gather from Peter Pan's first response that confirmation comes through the mail?

Thanks,
Stephen

Stephen,

Yes, you get your membership card and some other stuff through the mail. That sort of stuff is done in batches, you may get you first copy of The SIDECARIST before you get your card.

Thanks for joining the USCA! Start planning for the Monumental Rally in June next year. We'll see you in Sturgis.

Thanks, Al. I probably won't make Sturgis--gonna be saving $$$ for the next year or two to purchase a sidecar rig. Just gonna be using this forum and club for research and learning until then!
