Snow----flurries for now

Well, yesterday i looked out and there it was...snow coming from the sky. At first I hoped it was ash or something coming out of the chimney from my wood stove, but it came down and made little wet spots. That is a sure sign it is snow.

I fired up the bike and went for a 30 mile ride, knowing too well that my riding is coming to an end. Days, or weeks at best, is the diagnosis.

I know now that I really should have held on to my Ural for just this occasion, but practicality got in the way. Why did I need two rigs, I thought? Where would I put them? The money from that sale could be put toward the Harley. Now I am on the search for a winter time beater, something that doesn't mind a little rust, or the snow, or riding in the cold.

This morning I discovered First Ice. The lake out my bedroom window has a layer on it thick enough to support an eagle standing out there. Usually this doesn't happen till a few days after Thanksgiving. Time to get out the cocoa and Schnapps.

From down here in Costa Rica: This week hundreds of parrots were calling for summer... Today first horizontal chilly rain 14-16ΒΊC and first passat winds... means until December-January we will have badly nasty climate up here in the mountains, but marveleous down to the pacific ... As long you are in the mountains wind shadow... as soon you reach the top a blow might stop the rig!
Enjoy grog and hot wine.
