Was that anyone on here that was northbound on Lackman Road on the sidecar rig pulling a small trailer?
I was the blue H/D rig going southbound that waved.
It's so unusual to see any sidecars in this area - would be nice if it was someone on the board!

Hi Dean,
Well, it wasn't me but I live a little south of you and just north of Mound City. My wife and I come through that area quite often but we are on a blue and silver Kawasaki 1600 Vulcan. Been riding with a sidecar for quite a while now in the greater KC area and you are right about not seeing too many of them. Fell free to email me and maybe we can meet somewhere.

Mike

You are running a 1600 Kawa with a side car, yes. I have a Drifter 1500 with a Hannigan Classic. Have had problems with clutch slipping. Been told that there are issues with the springs. Will address this nex spring when I return from my winter digs. have you had any clutch problems?

Hi Mauk,
So far I haven't had a problem, but I only have a little over 8000 mile on this rig. Just set it up in July of this year. My only problem was wearing out rear tires. I finally found a tubeless car tire a 175R16 that I'm hoping will fix this for awhile. I went through two rear tires in about 7000 miles, the original and a Dunlop Elite III. I've got a little over 1000 on this tire and can't see any appreciable wear on it at all.

Hi Mike,
Small world - am over around Mound City quite often as the retirement acreage (future house site!) is just east of Prescott!
In fact the new pup - Dora the Rhodesian Ridgeback - came from Blue Mound.
And you are right - it would be fun to meet up some time and kick tires.
Hope to see you out and about before too long.
Happy Motorin'

Hi Dean,
So you are over by Hume? I'm on 7 highway about 6 miles north of Mount City. If you know where Farlinville was that's were I'm at. Just on the south side of the Big Sugar Creek bridge (left side when heading south). Stop by the next time you're in the neighborhood. I usually have something cold to drink around.
